Lsu playing an in conference game on national T.V. and our stadium being about 1/3 empty? It's amazing how few people go and support Miami. How did they ever put together the program that they have?
smoke and mirrors ... passing team thru and thru .... little defense against a great running team ... they outscore you with speed ONE TRICK PONY FSU STOMPS THEM ... STOMPS THEM ... next week. We need someone to beat VT???? I don't see Miami beating either team now
At the risk of becoming a pariah (Rush Limbaugh?) I've always felt that Miami and FSU created a certain image which was attractive to African-American blue chippers. Michigan also to a certain extent. When I say image, I mean that in a football sense. Fast, wide-open offenses and a "gangsta" persona. JMO. Rip away.
I disagree. I'm not sure any team could be a consistent winner for 20+ years if it was done with smoke and mirrors. They've put a ton of players in the NFL over that period.
get paid, live in Miami, don't have to go to class, and those chearleaders. a lot of the players they get don't really seem to care about college football and tradition and all the things that make it the greatest game on earth, they are looking for the surest ticket to the NFL.
Just one thing....you might want to reconsider the wide open passing offense you referred to when talking about Michigan....they are the ground and pound team
Re: Re: Could you imagine Your explaination definitely seems to be the case. I almost wish I had lived in the era in which players played for love of their school and its traditions.
Miami has awful fans. Nationally televised conference game and the stadium isn't full. Miami fans only show up for the REALLY big games. Plus they boo so quickly for anything. Florida game they boo Berlin then by the end of the game he is their hero.
