So what's the stadium that Corso says is the most feared for visiting teams? Well, he says that this stadium is "a tremendous stadium and it’s really down in a little hole. It’s the liveliest per person that I’ve ever been in." Here's the whole thing (8th question down): http://www.collegefootballgameday.com/Question.aspx Charles Ray :lsug:
I think a lot of the hype around Oregon is the fact that in the Pac-10 the fans really aren't a factor at most places. Other than maybe Washington in a good year, that is about the only place I can think of where the crowd plays a part in what happens on the field. I think it does give them a huge advantage against other schools out there, simply because the other guys aren't used to it. I still believe Death Valley is the best, but the SEC teams go on the road to tough places all the time, so it doesn't impact them as much because they are used to it. Corso is still a jackass, however.
HMMMMMMM Didn't they have some kind of online poll at ESPN gameday? I know our stadium was one of the 4 most feared, didn't see the outcome of the poll. I actually saw someone else post that LSU is given the highest homefield advantage of any team, Can anyone back up this info? Regarding Corso and the ducks. I actually think we get a lot of press and kudos about our stadium there is definitely a mystique, some Georgia fans were quoting on their website that our stadium was freaky we must have put voodoo on their players and that the game was weird and funky for them. Not a normal game at all. I think Courso feels sorry for the little ducks. They don't have the rep Tiger Stadium does. I'd visit alot of places before I'd go see those vicious ducks.
Maybe he has a point...I'd be afraid of having to see the team and the band in those horrific uniforms... But at least they have them in time for Halloween!
Corso with that Mike the Tiger costume head on his dome last week was the funniest thing that I've seen in a while. His waving at the camera while wearing that smiling oversized Tiger head made me laugh out loud.
