AM 680 the Fan in Atlanta is reporting that CNS is considering allowing Corey Webster to play some at WR in addition to CB - both ways. The 'Fro & Ellenger show is reporting this and indicated it for 2 reasons:

    a) needs at WR (their comments, not mine, and I do not agree)
    b) chance for Webster to improve his exposure in preparation for his future in the NFL

This is the first of this I have heard of this....... is this common knowledge around campus? They said Webster had been working out with some of the receivers during the offseason and requested the consideration.

It's called coaching. Like Clayton working out with the defense last year. If you need 'em, they're ready.

    Sure.... it's ALL coaching

Just trying to find out some info. If you don't know the answer, that's okay. Sounds like BS to me anyway.

Saban Fan is correct. That is What COACH Saban said in the last interview. I wouldn't read anymore into it than that. A lot of talent ready to go anytime but probably won't have to go to it.

That makes more sense than what these two radio knuckleheads reported this evening. It's been a while since we've see a successful two-way, full time player in the SEC. I thought at first we'd have a new storyline in the Heisman race.

What's your f'ing problem? I gave you the answer. We've got young unproven receivers and Saban is hedging his bet by having the senior (with WR experience) get some reps just in case he's needed. Maybe Tubby could learn something by paying attention to what successful coaches do.

    CWEB

Maybe Saban can let him play some QB too! :) He was a pretty good QB in HS when I saw him. Hell, for that matter, maybe Brady can put him on the basketball team too. I watched him win a 3A state championship in B-ball in 2000. The point, C-Web is a great athlete and if he's needed to run routes on the offense then Saban will use him.
