Looks like the funeral turned into somewhat of a political circus. So much for ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Take your underhanded shots wherever you can get them, I suppose. http://www.thejacksonchannel.com/politics/6833447/detail.html
"We only have to recall the color of the faces of those in Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi" to know that inequality exists, Carter said. Ha! Well then it's God who is the one that creates the inequality - not man.
Funerals are a political rally for the dems. Same thing happpend at Senator Wellstone's funeral a few years back.
when you are running for governor of LA in 20 years, i am gonna bring this to the press. "cparso hates the dang darkies" will be the headline in all the papers.
Maybe you could make that case with other things I've said, but not this. The government didn't chose to forsake black people in New Orleans, we can't force them to leave, and man sure as hell didn't instruct a hurricane to hit areas of highly populated black people.
nice try adolph. i will call david duke and see if their are any postions open as a grand wizard of the klan.
Dunno, but I haven't seen a republican political rally at a funeral ... yet. Dems had two in the past 4 years...
I'd say most high profile republicans have enough tact they wouldn't attempt to push political agendas at funerals. I wouldn't expect much from the mayor of Atlanta or the Lowery guy, but it's pathetic when a former president exploits such a situation. Then again, it's Jimmy Carter. The only way he can remain relevant to the media is to carry on in this manner.
