There was a feature article in last weeks Sports Illustrated about Cooper Manning, the older brother of Peyton and Eli. He was a great athlete as a WR who had his career cut short by a congenital spinal condition during his freshman year at Ole Miss. Cooper underwent serious surgery and came though it with his sense of humor intact even though it left him with a right hand that now can't grip a football well enough to throw a pass. He would visit with Peyton the night before a Tennessee game in Knoxville. Since the team had a 10:30 curfew Friday nights before a game the brothers had to cut their visit short but Cooper whould stay out drinking beer until closing time in Knoxville. Due to their strong physical resemblance invariably a Tennessee fan would approach him thinking he had seen Peyton out late drinking the night before a game. Cooper would tell those guys things like "Its OK, we're only playing Kentucky tommorrow" without revealing his true identity. Cooper was a Wide receiver at Newman HS in New Orleans with great hands and he almost never dropped a pass but in his senior year in the first game when Peyton was making his first start at QB as a freshman Peyton's first pass was a perfect thow to a wide open Cooper in the end zone and Cooper dropped the ball. Peyton has said recently that if his brother had stayed healthy that he would have definately gone to Ole Miss instead of Tennessee. Cooper is now a very successful stock and bond trader in New Orleans.

    Cooper is overrated. Also, two

important things about the Mannings. One is they have never won a college or pro championship in spite of their self-promotion. Second, the Mannings hate LSU even though Archie made his money from Louisiana. Screw the Mannings.

I thought they discouraged that self promotion? Eli is a true QB talent. Peyton is pretty solid, too.

Oh, get over it people. When have they ever stated they "hate" LSU? They only hate LSU in the sense that LSU is a rival of Ole Miss, and believe me the feeling is mutual. Let's not make it personal folks. They haven't, so I won't either.

I have nothing but respect for the Mannings. All of them. And I would figure the years he devoted to the Saints would count for something for all Louisiana football fans. But I guess not.

Sorry but I am not a Manning fan. Awchie got rich off of Louisiana, not Mississippi. He lives in La. and still makes money off of a Louisiana based QB camp. If he's so all fired proud of his Ole Miss connection then why doesn't he go to work for a Jackson TV station doing color commentary for the beloved Racists, er, Rebels. Why doesn't he live in Mississippi. I get less of a reaction seeing Bin Laden having a good time then I do seeing Archie and that f*cking $10.00 Sony earphone radio. Screw the Mannings. Every damn one of 'em.

    The Mannings are

bottom feeders. Time to send Archie and Olivia's butt back to Ms. They do hate LSU. I seem to remember a quote of Archie-my sons will never play for LSU.
