Glad to see us take care of our business. Was a little worried in the first half but showed some execution in the second half. Lets get healthy and get ready for some Volunteer payback. I think we owe them and i still am pissed about their conduct last year. Congrats again Coaches and players . 6-2 and getting on a roll.
Was a predicted score but certainly Fresno played us closer than the final outcome showed. Ab almost looked like he wanted to run and it sure is nice to see the punt returns handled better. Not to piss in the wheaties but did anyone notice the weaknesses of our offense in this game? Russell passed well....sometime..... but continued to hold the ball too long, and misfire as well. That also leads one to think that out receivers were well covered, though Fresno has a terible pass defense. Jimbo Fisher complaining at 1/2 time(rightfully so) that the offensive line was NOT blowing off the ball, either for run or pass blocking. 3 & outs in the first half when the Tigers should have been rolling. Somehow, I just didn't see our offense really in the game until late, and then Fresno had to be worn out. While it was nice to hear the announcers talk about the overwhelming talent & speed of our players, is it possible they are just starting to listen to their hype a bit too much? Maybe this will be resolved in time for Tenn. & the team that we all expect to see on the field in big games will show up. I certainly hope so.... :helmet:
