After seeing both our games in person, then reviewing them on Cox Sports, my concerns are not the QBs or WRs it's the DL, specifically the interior, the OL and the PK. Chad Lavalais was a special player and I think we're starting to find out just how special a player he was for  . The ldskule: are having trouble stopping the run up the middle and this week against Auburn will be the DL's toughest test. Claude Wroten, Glenn Dorsey, Kyle Williams, Melvin Oliver and the others have all played well at times but will definitely need to raise their level a play this week. I think you'll continue to see a lot of rotating on the DL until someone makes some Lavalais-esque plays and becomes a major factor in the game as far as making Auburn account for that one player by double teaming him. We really need to dominate the line of scrimmage and make Jason Campbell a.k.a. Wayne Madkin beat us with his passing. The OL played much better this past weekend but of course it was against an inferior opponent. But there were times where they were having trouble opening up holes for the backs. It's time for the this OL to start living up to its billing of being the best OL since the Albergamo, Andolsek, Norwoood days, and start dominating their opponents. . Chris Jackson has a tremendous leg but his erratic kicking may eventually cost him his job. IMO Saban's leash has been longer with Jackson then I thought it would be. I'd hate to see us lose a game because of poor placekicking. I very much agree with Coach Saban when he says that the problems :lsug: has are all very correctable problems, and not a problem because of lack of talent or personnel.
I will be shocked if Jackson is either A) kicking extra points and B) kicking FGs under 40 yards long Gaudet is consistent and should take over these duties. Let Chris do the kickoffs and attempt longer FGs. That's about it. And of course he has punting duties as well. That's enough. Welcome to the board TSdude!
Also Marquise Hill's absence is being felt. I have some of the same concerns about OL and DL. The DL will be tested this week for sure. Its "put up" time !
Even his kickoffs have been poor this year. Too many knuckleballs, and of course the one he sent OB against the Beavers.
