Remember the 24 hour rule! Maybe we have a good chance to finish 8-3 this regular season. SO WHAT! That won't bother me too much. I will ONLY be upset and angry with our team this year if we wrap up the regular season at 7-4 AND play poorly and lose the bowl game. Look at the bright side! If Nick Saban would have finished #1 or #2 this year, you KNOW that the Miami Dolphins would have tried to steal him from us. If Nick and the Tigers stink it up a bit this year, those NFL owners might stop trying to STEAL OUR NICK SABAN! Look at the bright side if Kerry becomes President! If that happens, then Hillary Clinton can't be President in 2008!
Tigers will end up 7-4 and most likely lose in a bowl if it's against a quality opponent! I hate that it will probably end up that way but the tigers just don't have what it takes to beat a quality team.
This is nothing new Some people need to take off the purple and gold rimmed glasses long enough to realize we weren't going to go undefeated or lose only 1 or maybe even 2 games. These are the same people that predicted we would go undefeated or lose 1 game all year. They are now in panic mode because we lost 2 games and its not according to their plans while the rest of us will be happy with a good season of having a winning record and playing in a bowl game. You can't win a championship every year especially with new QB's and WR's with little to no SEC experience. If for some reason we lose more than 3 games, so what? I don't think thats going to happen. We will be in better shape next year. This team doesn't have the focus and the experience our team did last year. End of Story......
Well said! I figured we'd lose 3 games before the season begin so all this is not much of a shock to me. What does bother me is we didn't even compete yesterday! I can stomach losing a close game rather than getting blown out especially with the talent we have. I originally predicted 3 loss', Auburn and/or Georgia & Arkansas. The way I see it now is that Florida will most likely do what Georgia did to us and then we will get handled by Arkansas in The Rock. Hopefully the best thing to come out of this is that Dumbo Fisher will get fired because we really need to get a better offensive coordinator. I know that will not solve all our problems but it will help!
Lets face it the SEC is stacked this year. I believe that LSU's national championship was a wake-up call for the rest of the league, some of whom have seamed to elevate their game this year. We have the target on our chest and EVERYBODY we play wants to beat us because we were the undisputed (just ask my nine year old son) champions last year. This is how its going to be. We just as soon get used to it. There are going to be bumps in the road, but as long as we continue to have good coaching and great recruiting we will be in the mix each year. Off the the top of your head, what is the last college football team to repeat as a natonal champion ? Who is the last SEC school to repeat as conference champions and how often has it happened ?
Maybe even the next three years. It's going to be very scary haha. By the way, about Nick Saban leaving, I don't think that a person like Saban would want to deal with the whiny asses that are NFL players. Off the top of my head, I think it was nebraska, maybe even Oklahoma, but that was a long time ago. Winning a championship back to back in college is so hard just because each player only has 4 years.
whiny, anyone hear the Aaron Brooks interview after the game, everyone hates eachother on that team, and its like that everywhere else in the NFL except the perreniel winners, i have 100 percent faith that coach saban can turn this around, not only are there 60 minutes in a game, but 11 games in a season, and by my count we are only done 5, we still have some games to play before we start thinking about next season boys
to say LSU can't beat a top team is not quite accurate. LSU at THIS POINT OF THE SEASON, will have trouble with a top team (we almost beat auburn).. by the end of the season, alot of the sloppy mistakes that the young guys are making (missed tackles, fumbles, dropped passes, NOT CHECKING OFF on both sides of the ball) will be gone and this team will be one of hte best in the country.. too bad it will be in the Peach or Cotton bowl.
I can live with losing. But why the hell are we losing by such a large margin. It's not like were Vanderbilt or something. I give UGA a lot of credit. Since they won "The game of the century", I guess they can just sit back and relax because they met the ultimate goal of beating a "Not the 2003 National Chanmpion" LSU team. No question in my mind that last years team easily would of beat UGA. That being said, we pay Nick Saban Millions of dollars to prepare our players to compete. The crappy execution and this recent blowout is no excuse. That is totally unacceptable. 24-14 or 27-20 is one thing, but an almost 30 point blowout is bull****. I want to see some freaking fundamentals and execution at least dammit. I knew when he did those freaking commercials it was the kiss of death. Now were fat, lazy and content. Whitworth has gotten owned by Swincutt and Pollack thus far, and has now played himself into coming back for a senior year. I am at a loss for the QB, RB, OL, LB, CB, PK, PR, KOR situations. Totally unacceptable... Bash me for high expectations if you want and take my comments out of context, but the film doesn't lie. Note: My criticism is built upon the premise that we are a lot better than this and I do hold hope for the rest of this year and next. Geaux Tigers!
Just gotta stay positive....who's to say this season wont be like rohan daveys senior year...remember that year? we started off losing to the vols and gators back to back and went on a roll from there....then got our payback with the vols who were suppose to play for the national title that year but we kinda ruined that for em...this is a young team and there gonna learn every game....just go with it...saban knows what hes doing.
