So, supposedly the dems are moving Obama's convention acceptance speech to Thursday night so they can have it at Mile High Stadium. Problem is that College football opens that same night. Not any marquee matchups, but NC State vs. South Carolina will definitely take the attention of many voters in the Carolina's and the rest of the south, and Stanford v. Oregon St. will draw attention as the PAC-10 opener. other matches are Wake Forest v. Baylor and Vandy v. Miami (OH).

Was it a bad move to schedual on the same night or are both audences so different that it wont matter?

When it comes down to it this sort of stuff really only excites the news people. Generally, the same people people watch this stuff every four years. They will try to create a buzz, but it won't make a huge difference as most peopel are soundbite watchers.

Dems don't watch football. TV usage adds 2 points a year to their carbon footprint ratings.
