Excerpt from article at http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=clayton_john&id=1955902 dated December 22, 2004:
Just trying to get to 1,000, Max. Duh! I don't get to spend 24/7 on here, as I have a bit of a life, so forgive me if it was already posted. I had not seen it and just came across it. I found it interesting, so I shared it. I, personally, am still hoping LSU can get JDR and will continue to do so until I hear him say he's out or LSU officially hires someone else.
I don't get it. I didn't see that there was any sort of rule regarding the sharing of information on this forum based on the date it first became public. I have seen many articles pasted on here (some in their entirety) that are much older. There is a recent one that is, I believe, over two years old. I posted only the part (15 sentences) that pertained to the coach I favored for the job. Anyone who had already seen it or cared not to take the time to read it needed only click the "back" button. No reason to give me a hard time. :geaux:
In defense of SpringTiger, it is hard to avoid reposting articles on this site. You can't effectively search for existing posts because so few people use the actual article titles when posting. For example, ESPN.com may post something that says, "LSU Chooses Miles for Head Coaching Position" and someone posts it here but labels it "Miles to LSU". If I find the ESPN article and search here for "LSU Chooses Miles..." prior to posting, it may or may not turn up at the top of my search. All I'm saying is the fault goes both ways whenever stuff gets reposted.
