Yup, exactly...what a shame. Can't blame Coach Miles though, he doesnt want to be a great football coach on the expense of the school's reputation.
Oh no doubt... I bet that RP wishes that he would have went to Texas. ...I was actually a fan of his coming out of HS, up until I joined this board and heard that he had a large case of bigheaditus.
Miles has been talking about Jarrett Lee since signing day, and some just don't hear him. He was qouted in March of this year about his QB situation. He mentioned Flynn being the probable Starter, but said "We have Sophmore Ryan Perrilloux back there, and we also have a very talented Freshman coming in - Jarrett Lee, I don't want to leave him out of that mix"
I agree that you have to read into this comment. LM says he is in the doghouse and I think he will stay there for some time. This shows that he wants to send a message to RP, get another QB motivated, and LM doesnt want to talk about this all summer. Just like Alley, he is not going to say a word about it for some time while he is suspended. He can only coach the players who are with the team now and he is not going to waste his breath. I think if Miles was going to kick him off the team he would be releasing a statement by now. He doesnt have to wait for the facts like in previous incidents this summer. However, I could be reading into it too much.:grin:
If he were going to kick him off, he'd either have done it by now or he wouldn't be making the doghouse comment. I think we can assume he's giving RP one more chance, on a leash.
maybe i am reading too much into it too, but i read a message being sent to rp to get his chit together. because if not, he is replacable.
I've loved Lee ever since I watched those videos on him. I'd rather see RP as the #2 but i'm comfortable with Lee there I guess. I just hope RP doesn't get kicked off for something like this
