Notre Dame officials made a critical choice a few years ago. They could lower their academic standards to allow in better athletes so alumni could take pride in their football team, or they could keep those standards high so alumni could take pride in their university.

As if poor Notre Dame doesn't have enough troubles recruiting against Harvard,Duke and Vandy, they have to be hamstrung by having all their home games televised by NBC!!! And if that's not enough, their lower rated recruits are falsely having stars added to them causing undeserved ND hype. What's the next impediment to success on the field they're going to have face--being forced to recruit only Catholics, or maybe other Christians willing to turn the other cheek and live for others instesd of themselves. It seems that a coveted diploma from Notre Dame really is a cross that must be borne daily.Come on...get real Andy!!!!!

Blessed are the programs that recruit true 4 and 5 star prospects for theirs is the BCS championship.:helmet:
