    in the world of College Football polling. Absolutely and without a doubt, LSU should by all rights be the third ranked team in the nation. Based on performance on the field and the strength of the teams played, LSU is clearly better than all of the other 1 loss teams rated ahead of us. As a matter of fact, it was LSU that gave the current occupant of the #4 spot its only loss.
    I know, just keep winning, right? But if we haven't earned any respect, after all of the media stroking that Auburn got this week and after completely dominating and humiliating them and their "Cadillac", then when will the respect come?

    Guys, I hate to say this, but we better hope that Georgia keeps winning and that we get to play them again when they're ranked #4 (or higher). Otherwise, we have no shot. Wins over LA Tech, Alabama, Ole Miss and Arkansas are not going to earn us any respect at all.

    I'm not trying to be negative, but DAMN IT, this team deserves better.

    Here's even more perspective about the 1 loss teams:
    #3 USC lost to Cal;
    #4 UGA lost to LSU;
    #5 Florida State lost to Miami;
    #6 Washington State lost to Notre Dame
    #7 Ohio State lost to Wisconsin

    Now I ask you, with the exception of Flordia State's loss to Miami, which team is better than #21 Florida? Insofar as Florida State is concerned, which top 10 team have they beaten, or top 25 for that matter? Their schedule is UNC, Maryland, Ga. Tech, Colorado, Duke, and Wake Forest.

    Damn it, I can't stop ranting but this truly pisses me off b/c LSU is not getting the respect we deserve even though we're winning and Georgia is still the class of the SEC despite an unimpressive win against Vandy and barely hanging on over UAB.

    Fla will beat FSU, Fla may get UGA....I think UGA will be up for their game . Look at last year UGA ran the table but got beat by FLA. LSU is in the same boat will run the table and got beat by FLA. With some help LSU may get a shot but seems like a long one at that. I feel they deserve better also. In my opinion UGA runs the table LSU runs the table meet back in ATL. LSU wins then things will change for LSU. THey may get that shot we have been talking about. Right now LSU can beat anyone in the country and YES I mean OU.

    Man, talk about no respect. VT dropped out of the top ten. Don't lose a game from midseason on. It will kill you.

    VT never belonged in the Top 10 to begin with. On the main subject, after some thought I have come to the conclusion that we are much better off without the hype. Look at Auburn. After the 2 losses they were relegated to the scrap heap. If anyone talked about them it was to say how bad they were. Suddenly they began to play very good football then here comes the hype again and they couldn't live up to it. If, Herbstreit or some other idiot started touting us and the pollsters put us in the top 5, we would be faced with trying to live up to the expectations. Flying under the radar is much better.

    VT dropped out not only because the were beaten but because they were thoroughly dominated (28-7) bad a bad team, West Virginia.

    I wouldn't call WV a bad team...They played a tough schedule early and that RB of their's is one of best in the nation.

    You make good points, but the pollsters/voters look at one thing when ranking you. A highly ranked undefeated LSU team lost at home to an unranked Florida team by a score of 19-7.

    That killed you. Pollsters/voters don't care about excuses like injuries, playing flat, daygame, blah, blah. It also hurts that you're an SEC team. They don't like having too many SEC teams in the Top 10.

    Your best bet is for #23 Florida to beat highly ranked UGA, plus beat USC, Vandy, and a highly ranked 1-loss FSU team. Then you would need Florida to get the vote to go to the SECCG. If that happens Florida will be raked in the Top 10-15 and if you were to beat Florida in the SECCG I think that would propell LSU into the big game. ;)

    we dont need anyone, if we win out and one of the undefeated teams lose we will be there, because if it is georgia or florida both will be highly ranked, if the SEC champion is a one loss team and there is only one undefeated, the SEC Champion is in the NC, Book it. We don't need you:dis:
