Looks like he is declaring. Thanks Michael for all you have done for LSU. Wish you would stay one more year, but I understand why you are doing it. You will be missed. Good luck in the NFL Clayton to enter NFL draft
Michael Clayton is the most talented pure athelete to play for LSU since Tommy Casanova, and maybe the most talented ever. He is also a consummate team player who works as hard to block or tackle as he does when he runs a route. Bobby Bowden wanted Clayton badly, but Michael believed Saban when he said that LSU would become a dominant program that would compete at a national level. Michael and many others believed and worked hard to make that a reality. All Tiger fans will be pulling for Michael to make it big in the NFL. He certainly has the tools and the mindset to do so. However, despite the fact that Clayton is an incredible talent, I think the team will primarily miss his leadership and attitude because we are so loaded with talent at the WR position. Either Dwayne Bowe or Early Doucet have the size and skill to be able to carry the torch at Clayton's position, while Amp Hill looks to be a logical successor for Devery's position. Skyler is very productive out of the slot and should stay right where he is. Craig Davis has also shown some ability this year. If Xavier Carter commits, we will be something like 6 or 7 players deep at WR next year. Not a bad problem to have, especially considering the fact that we are losing Clayton a year early.
