I love the guy as much as the next but the only thing Clayton can do at LSU next year is get hurt. He is a first rounder he is going to make a lot of money and in his best interest its time for him to go. This guy as much as anybody put LSU on the Map and we as LSU fans should wish him well but its time for him to take his talent to the next level. There is nothing he can do at LSU next year that he has not done already if he wants to stay that is great. I just think its time for him to play on Sunday. Michael Clayton a great All American
I disagree for several reasons the biggest being money. There are quite a few recievers this year that will be drafted ahead of him, plain and simple the draft is loaded with recievers. Next year he would get much more attention coming of of a national championship and would probably have less competition in the draft. The difference in pay between a top ten pick and a late first rounder is HUGE!!!!! The money will be there either way. You also only get one shot at playing college ball and it had to be fun to be a Tiger this year, don't rush the best time of your life away.
Twisted what kind of contacts do you have in the NFL? There is a reason Clayton is going to geaux to the NFL and its because Nick Saban is going to tell him to go or stay in the 11 am meeting today with the Coaches. But, I am glad you have so much confidence in the best WR in the country. Selfish reason is why most of us want him to stay but he needs to geaux. Personally he did not have a great year this year and the offense is not set up to geaux to Michael and he could get lost in the suffle at times with WR's like at LSU now.
Clayton is definitely going to end up being the best WR out of this draft class because he is the best overall WR in the draft. He can do it all, what else can I say?
What are you talking about? I didn't say he wasn't great I said he wouldn't be the first reciever taken. Who is your NFL contact that is saying he is the best reciever in the draft this year or will be the first drafted? I simply said he would be drafted higher by staying another year and would make more money. If you think he will be the first reciever drafted this year you might need to do a little more research.
Clayton IS going. It is in today's Times Picayune. The only two he really has to compete with in the draft are Roy Williams and Reggie Williams, both of which are excellent receivers.
I thought I had heard that he was most likely going to get drafted as a DB? He's got so much potential at so many different positions, he's going to be good.
Clayton Great great player not the #1 WR this year. Don't forget Larry Fitzgerald. Here are a couple of good links for you DeafValleyBatnR so you can educate yourself on the draft. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/ http://www.nfldraftblitz.com/new_page_47.htm
I disagree. 1) Lloyd's of London has insurance policies for people getting hurt. 2) Name one player that suffered at all ever getting hurt - Saban said there were NONE that he knew of. 3) He could win the Heisman 4) He could have TWO NAtional Championship rings and THREE SECC rings 5) He could get his degree, which no one can ever take away from him 6) He could get far more passes his way now that there is even better talent coming 7) he could add to his value by playing a little more db
