Nice. I was watching NFL network this morning and Tim Brown was on. He was talking about playing football "the right way": how to truly be a professional, the work ethic involved, etc. I think it was Terrell Davis who asked if he had an example of how he had imparted that kind of ethic to a younger player and Tim immediately said, "Michael Clayton". Old # 14 almost makes me want to be a Bucs fan. Almost. :yelwink2:
I feel your pain Tejas! The LSU players on the Patriots almost make me like them too. But, oh well, still hate the Pats (yea, these are not good times for a Pats hater!)
Clayton's making a lot of people proud. Lots of recognition and other good things are surely in his future. Now, if we could just find a couple more like him. He was a pleasure to watch. :thumb:
Did anyone see the portion of that article about Jarvis Green working in the offseason as an Engineer for Rolls. I didn't know he received a engineering degree, but to be in the NFL and still using it, now that is impressive. Whatever you want to say about Saban, he turned out some fine young men.
Not to hijack this thread, but Jarvis was on ESPN radio Tuesday night, and carried himself VERY well. They were actually asking him the tough questions (since he's due for a new contract) and he handled them very well. Definitely making LSU proud. It's refreshing to see these guys in the league that aren't morons when they get on the mic. Saban was definitely doing something right, from recruiting to mentoring.
Javis Green was a Dinardo recruit. I remember a pic of him in the Advocate working out when he was a recruit where he looked like an animal.
That was a great article on Jarvis about that right before last year's Super Bowl. These guys get a lot of attention during Super Bowl week. Great. LSU!
Didn't Dominick Davis win rookie of the year last year with the Texans. If he didn't I think it was close for him, too. It is a great time to be a Tiger fan. I haven't posted much on this forum, but I sure enjoy the conversations. Thanks for the good times. :geauxtige
DD sure did! And we're thrilled to have him in Houston, he was an incredibly good draft selection. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/7046867
