We need Auburn to get to the National Championship and Georgia to get a BCS bowl. I think we would go to Citrus over a 3 loss Tenn. team. Obviously, we have to win out.
...Oh! And UT owns the tie-breaker over UGA. So unless UT loses another SEC game, and UGA gets by Auburn, it'll be the Vols in the SECCG. And if Auburn beats UGA, then that would definately drop the 'Dawgs out of the BCS contention. As of now, I'm going to say it'll be Auburn and UT in the SECCG this season. If that happens, and Auburn wins, UT goes to the Capital One bowl, Auburn goes to the BCS and then that should open up the Cotton Bowl to select us and the Peach and/or one of the other Florida bowls to select UGA.
Yes Capital one is same as Citrus. Good point about Georgia. They will not get BCS bowl if Auburn beats them. I guess we would also need Georgia to lose to Georgia Tech. I still think we get picked over 3 loss Tenn. team. We would bring a big crowd to Capital One.
That may be. But keep in mind we're undefeated there. (I think. At least we have been since 2000.) Still, I'm hoping for a Cotton Bowl matchup with A&M. That would be my absolute dream come true.
I would rather see a matchup with the best team possible no matter what bowl LSU ends up in. A&M will likely have 4 losses after they play Texas. I wonder if the Capitol One Bowl would consider an all SEC matchup between LSU and Tennessee? I hate the Cotton Bowl's 10 AM starting time.
Currently, Tenn. only has two losses (Auburn and Notre Dame). They finish the season with Vandy and Ky, two teams I belive they can beat. Could have three if they make the SECCG and lose to Auburn. We shall see. From what I am reading in the papers the Florida bowls would like for LSU to make it. WE need to focus on Bammer !
