We did stop recruiting throughout most of the recruiting process but contact was reestablished by CM a little before the July camp. Still do not see him getting a commitable offer but his last comments make you wonder.

My gut feeling is he is not giving up on us and is lobbying for a spot as a last effort. This guy has been high on us from day 1 but has he done enough to prove he is a must in this class? He missed a visit or two for evaluations and I think his running style is too similar to what we already have in Ford and Pratt. I also do not see the coaching staff giving up on Trent already.

Guess we will know if something changed over the last week and a half soon enough.

Definitely some interesting twists going on with Mr. Michael.

I personally feel it will be a mistake not to take him. We cannot be guaranteed anything from the 2010 class regarding RBs.

I projected him to be part of this class and will still hold on to that.

Well apparently rivals thinks really highly of Mr. Michael, giving him a boost in the top 100 to 21st ranked player in the nation, garnering him a 5th star.

Time for LSU to offer this kid. Period. End of discussion.

Yup, Rivals thinks this guy is a 5 star! Who cares what our coaches think! Don't they know that landing him will make our class look better on paper!??

The guy is talented, but his Rivals ranking has nothing to do with whether or not we should take him.

I still do not believe he's any more talented than Ford or Pratt. They are all about equal & it is a sham that they could have Michael as a 5 star with these 2 guys not even in the top 100.

Thats the way I see it. Look at our top 3 backs this season. Murphy, Williams, and Scott bring a little something different to the offense which opens up what Crowton can do. I really do not see Michael bringing something different that we do not already have in Ford and Pratt.

With the spots we have available there is no way we take another with the 2 RBs in place and most likely a FB/RB in Singleton.

You and Parso may very well be right about not really needing Michael, but if he commits, we take him. I don't see LSU withdrawing its offer to him.
