Nearly 500 yards passing against arguably the best defense in football? Ouch. Granted, they've thrown it 60 times, but still. Another thing, they've thrown it 60+ times and I don't think we've had a sack. Sorry to be Debbie Downer after a big win, but I'm just kind of looking ahead a bit when we play SEC schools that are every bit as talented on offense as West Virginia. Is this an anomaly and something we can shore up or is this the blueprint to beat us?
Not really a chink. It's the only offense that we will face with the athletes they have at WR. Their scheme gave us trouble. Again, nobody on the rest of our schedule runs this offense. Arkansas is my only concern because Petrino could cook something up.
Well it's a win, but yes I am afraid teams may have a blue print.. Aside from arkansas there are no prolific passing teams. But Not that wvu is.. But hopefully the can fix it
Agreed. Plus WV holds quite a bit and they weren't called. Some bad SEC officiating once again. In any case, I'm happy with the W. GEAUX TIGERS! :geauxtige
No need to panic. How many blitzes did you see tonight? That is because of the scheme, lots of underneath stuff that moved the ball but didn't amount to much. Nothing deep got completed. We will be fine.
500 yards passing, and only 21 points allowed? I'll take that every week. edit: not that I think we'll play anyone that else that can throw for 500.
Hey! Phuck it! It's a win! As long as we keep finding ways to win. WIN! We need work, but big win guys! Congrats.. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=30.070350,-95.535076
I think what it did expose was our lack of great linebackers. Baker is only good going after the QB, not great in coverage. The other 2 LBs are non-existent. Has Francois made a tackle this year? I don't even know his number to be honest.
