My kids will learn to respect any President but will not learn to praise any President. (regardless of party) Elected officials work for US not the other way around. I realize some politicians (Hillary) have convinced themselves that we can't survive without them but it's actually the other way around.
mine will be taught that any person no matter who they are, might be an idiot worth zero respect. if my kid told obama that he is a miserable idiot i would like it.

Kids can't praise God in school but they can praise Obama? And why is is suddenly cool to use the middle name?
My kids are taught to not argue with adults and to realize that everyone is entitled to their opinion. That have also been taught that adults are often wrong but they are still adults. My kids also realize elected officials are politicians who have to repay their supporters and are often dishonest. My kids are taught to respect the system (constitution, laws, policies, etc.) but not necessarily the person. I don't want my children to call Obama (for example) an idiot but at the same time they are taught that politicians, actors, teachers, etc. are not GOD. Now your turn to elaborate on what you mean.
