They have Clayton as the number 6 pro prospect WR in the nation...Said, "would have been a top 10 pick if he were in a more high-powered passing offense, he will have to settle for top 15." Or something like that...
Did you happen to catch this? 12. Devery Henderson, Sr. LSU, 6-0 190 - He's not Michael Clayton, but he's a big-time playmaker who's deadly in the open field.
Do we know for sure if Clayton's leaving this year? I think one more year could really help his draft status.
I do not believe that Clayton will leave after this season. If we finish strong, I think he will want to come back for something BIG next year!
yeah since he saw what happened to trev faulk a few years ago i think that will play into it. and the fact that he doesnt really come from a family that is hurting like Josh Reeds was. Clayton for heisman...2004...
I didn't even catch Devery...I don't think Clayton will leave yet...The guy is a team player and loves Saban. And like you guys said, it isn't like his family is hurting for money...
I expect MC to return for his senior year. He could legitimately make a run for the Heisman in '04, and I think he's a no-brainer top-10 choice next year. We're just now able to get the ball to him again. It's taken opposing defenses this long to figure out that Green and Henderson are too talented to leave uncovered, in order to double-team Clayton. And on the topic of Josh Reed: How about our former Tiger picking up a 100-yard game last Sunday? Has Bledsoe FINALLY figured out who his "go-to" guy should be?
i had Bledsoe as my starting fantasy QB earlier this year (ive always been a fan of his)...and damnit he's just not having a great season. hopefully he can get his act together....because Josh Reed needs the ball.
I've always thought Bledsoe was just a tad over-rated. To use Rush's logic--maybe that's because he's a white QB.
Don't forget Saban's penchant for graduating players. Bradie James could have easily left after his Jr. season, but instead, returned for his Sr. year as well as finish with a degree. Whatever Saban's preaching to the players (education-wise), I hope Clayton feels the same way.
