He opens up with a typically stupid comment about going against all convential wisdom and reports and innuendo stating that the Tigers will be in Orlando. He says he thinks they'll be in Dallas for the Cotton on NYD. Gordy Rush then gets on the air right after that and says I disagree, stating all the media reports, THEN saying that he has a source on the Capital One Bowl Committee who said that barring a Vol upset of Auburn, LSU was in Orlando for the Cap One... Magically, Hanagriff STILL disagrees and stubbornly says that LSU will be in the Cotton Bowl. Then, on CBS just now, Schnieder reports Bertman says LSU all but assured of Orlando. This guy is combative and demeans his callers on the show, and tells them they can't talk about valid subjects. He ruins good comedic bits like Rush's "Band Report" and Skip Bertman impersonations by not allowing him to even mention them on-air. He's a loser, and we need to bring back Jumbo Ronnie Rantz from his sideline work for Cox Sports tape delayed Alabama Crimson Tide football games!
You said "all but assured" which is not the same as they are in unless AU loses. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
Another frog hair splitter, man! All but assured would mean that we're all but assured Auburn will win. If Auburn wins, then LSU is assured of a Capital One Bowl invite. If they do not win, there is still a chance, but it is not assured. It's a figure of speech, and I'm sorry I didn't clarify as well as I needed to. Are you still that amped up from the game? Ease up, man!
I like Hanagriff, he's one of the better ones in town i.m.o. I do think we are going to be in Orlando though, it would be a bummer to end up in Dallas again.
I like Hannagrif, too. If you don't like him, don't listen - it's that simple. I'm sick of the 'band' jokes, too. Who isn't? That's not a comedic bit, it's a tired quote from 3 or 4 years ago.
THe deal about the band jokes is the same as chance of rain "NEVER" announcement before the game. Its something you wait for. And by the way the band was solid. :hihi: :thumb:
