Does anyone have any information on what's happening/happened with the staff at Charity? We'd heard they were being evacuated with the patients via Navy ships but have now heard that may not be accurate. We're trying to locate my cousin, Celeste, who is an RN there but last contact was Tuesday.

    Thanks.

"We have been trying to call the mayor's office, we have been trying to call the governor's office ... we have tried to use any inside pressure we can. We are turning to you. Please help us," said Dr. Norman McSwain, chief of trauma surgery at Charity Hospital, the largest of two public hospitals."

I was watching CNN last night, and a nurse from Charity Hospital called in and said that despite reports that they were being evacuated, only 4 patients had been evacuated at that time. She sounded pretty distraught, and said that nurses were being hooked up to IVs because they were dehydrated and exhausted. Hopefully help will come soon now that they're appealing through the media.
