Over the past 3 years, LSU's program is in the third spot, behind USC and Texas. Pretty nice. Let's see Miles and co. blow the doors off of college football this season.

Troy as a quality win in 04'?? When did Troy become a quality win?

Why is there a zero next to the category "bad losses" for every top ten team?

Because if you had a bad loss, you wouldn't be in the top 10. Duh!

Quality win: win against a team that finishes with a winning record

Bad loss: Loss against a team that finishes with 3 or fewer wins

Elite win: win against a team that finishes with 2 or less losses (if at home) 3 or less losses if away.

Because CFN backs up their rankings and articles with stats and facts. They are not "in love" with the star or program du jour, ala MJ, Barry Bonds, TO, USC, Notre Dame, et.al.

Michael Smith seems to give LSU a fair shake, as does Tim Cowlishaw, though he's primarily paid by the Dallas Morning News.
