Wow - what a great game. This write up does it justice... Hester who would plow into the end zone with 69 seconds remaining in the contest. After producing the winning points for his team, Hester was the last man to emerge from the pile, the last body to rise from the turf near the end of a gridiron gut-check of epic proportions. It was only after he emptied his tank and spent his last ounce of energy that Jacob Hester finally allowed his body to collapse. As long as his teammates needed him, however, No. 18 would not be denied. http://cfn.scout.com/2/687913.html
Gameday hosts were flat out calling this an "EPIC GAME". They are right. I haven't seen such a good old-fashioned football game in many, many years. Hard on the heart, though, for us old guys. Feels good at the end!ldskule:
watching the game again right now - 4th quarter, Beckwith comes up with the fumble recovery. Holy smokes.
I had just made a comment to my friends that they need to get Hester involved in the game......and Wow, what a performance! That kid has more heart than anyone playing college football today! His drive to win is incredible! Even though I had a migrane from the thought of losing to Florida, it was well worth it to see the ending! Hester deserved to be player of the game..... Great game Tigers!
The thing is as number 1 we are going to have to bring it every single week now. No matter who we play they are going to be sky high. But this is what you hope for.
