http://www.collegefootballnews.com/2004/Bowls/Bowl_Projections.htm Didn't know if this was posted. They have LSU as definitely going.
Do you believe this link!!!!!!! http://www.lsusports.net/feature.html?ref=8C1656D5-F242-48B2-7D2283B7DFAF79A6
What do they know that we don't?????? The Cap One Bowl site says the SEC invitation won't be extended until after the SECCG. It just says that either Auburn or LSU would get the invitation.
I thought it was odd The site had it as an update and had LSU highlighted, which to them means that LSU was definitely in the bowl. If Auburn loses to Tennessee, do they still have a chance for an at-large BCS bid???
It is VERY likely that Auburn will win and thus LSU will get into the Capital one Bowl. However, it is not "definite" until such happens.
I would think not, but it would depend upon how far they fall in the polls, right? A loss to the hillbillies would probably put Auburnt at #6 in both polls and, therefore, out of the BCS? It may just depend upon how they look in losing. If they lose a close one, maybe they don't drop below tu and Cal? Last year, OU got whipped in their CCG and didn't drop too far - though they did drop below all (both) of the one loss teams, right? But then, a Cal loss to USM (like that's going to happen!) could change things? The more I think about it, the more it appears that the only way Auburn gets an at-large invite to a BCS bowl is if Cal loses. How about if OU and USC lose BIG, and AU loses a close one on a bad officiating call? That's what I'm hoping for! Hey, a college football fan can dream can't he?
Perhaps an Auburn loss this weekend would land them in the Cotton Bowl against Texas...just a thought.
