If you ever go to the Cayman's, the following restaurants are a must:

    1. The Lighthouse (South Coast) ... expensive ... but the finest and most romantic atmosphere ... seated on veranda just above the breakers ... best Calamari I've ever had in my life.

    2. The Calypso Grill ... reasonable ... best and freshest fish on the island

    3. Wendy's ... because #1 costs you about $200 for 4 people, LOL

    4. KFC ... because #2 costs you about $130 for 4 people, LOL

    Prices

Rent a 2BR villa with a 7-mile beach ocean view for a week ---->$2,000 USD
Wife & I (10) dives with best diving outfit in the Carribbean ---->$1,000 USD
4 Feed live stingrays (fed them squid in shallow water) by hand -->$100 USD
Watch glass blowing maestros at work, purchase masterpieces-->$1,000 USD

Watch mother-in-law suffer from sea urchin spines (24) lodged in her foot after ignoring your numerous requests (in front of multiple witnesses) to wear diver footware in the water ---------------------> F'ing PRICELESS

There truly is a GOD

Ever been to Sanibel or Captiva Island off the coast of Florida ? Someone told me its the closest thing in the Gulf to being in the Carribean.

Yeah, lived in Ft. Myers for a year ... the place is nice but so overpriced, it's ridiculous ... the water is nowhere near as nice as many Carribbean locations

Actually my in-laws own a house on Sanibel Island. We're there about once a year. We thought the house would be destroyed for sure during Charlie but reports are that they just had a little roof damage.

The beaches are all shell and NOT good. The water can't touch the Destin/Emerald Coast area.

That's where I go every July. Great place with pure white sand.
