Is $1 billion really enough to help the automotive companies anyways? That was the purpose of this program, right?

No, its purpose was just a step toward everyone driving what Obama thinks we should drive. Did you know all of the "clunkers" were disabled so they couldn't be fixed and the drive train parts were shipped to China?

what a stupid statement, he didnt make anyone turn their car in, it was optional.Either you wanted to do it or you didnt. The fact that they have run out of money means people took advantage of it. And the dealership sold some cars.

    The atrocities.

Of course it's optional. So will the Healthcare public option...allegedly. It's the 1st step in a process. I know you think I'm crazy. You're still blinded by the light of the anointed one. I don't make this stuff up. It's out there if you want to find it. The purpose of the clunker program was to get gas guzzlers off the street and replace with more efficient cars. Fine. No problem. The "clunkers" could have been used by people who can't afford a new car, but they saw to it that they could not be put back into the market. Anyone who took advantage was going to buy a new car anyway. It was a waste of taxpayer money.

Use for people who cant afford a car. You probably should read the stipulations for this program and see, most of the cars where really not salvagable. You can say Im blinded by the anointed one all you want. But you are blinded by your hate of this president, for whatever reasons and in love with the last one. So yes I think you are crazy for that reason.

Also, how do you know the people were going to buy a new car. Thats just another crazy assumption of yours, because of your hate for all things Obama related. The rebate was 4500, do you know alot of dealerships double down on the rebate, so alot of people got 9k towards a new car? You have no idea if those people were willing to pay full price for a new car vs 9k off of a new car. Seriously Sabanfan, seriously!

i am sure the hardworking american taxpayer appreciates that we took his money so idiots could buy new cars. taxpayers always waste their money on something they want. selfish.

I do not hate Obama. I think he's a product of his Chicago past. I hate what he's trying to do to my country with no regard for conflicting viewpoints. He's got an agenda and he's in a big hurry to implement it before more Americans are on to him.

The last President? Old news. I admired his determination to protect us despite the medias' and Democrats' best efforts to derail him. I don't really care about his other failings (and there were some). I long for the day when someone can try to defend Obama without invoking Bush. That day is near.
