"I think it's going to be a great controversy, I don't care who gets selected," Carr said, "because I just think that based on some of the comments the Florida coach has made in the last two weeks -- campaigning strenuously for a berth in the championship game -- and making some statements about Michigan that I think were inappropriate." (link) So, what did Meyer say about Michigan that was inappropriate? That they'd already had a shot at Ohio State?
Michigan already having their chance is all I remember. But how has he been campainging for two weeks? This didn't really start until last night once Florida won. He hasn't said a word otherwise. I smell bad grapes.
Meyer has been making comments about the BCS and Florida's shot at the NC, plus Meyer has trashed the BCS in the past when Utah went undefeated and didnt go to the NC, to me he is a lot like Tubberville, and I say just shut up, I respect a coach like Carr that is willing to shut up and let the players play and let the unperfect system continue to be unperfect.
Meyer annoys the hell out of me and I sincerely hoped that he would do horribly at Florida as soon as he got there. Granted, it's not going to happen, but seeing him get screwed again would be nice.
Hey Meatball (I always wanted to say that), Carr was playing it cool last night, but he hasn't played it cool on many occasions. He basically said that USC was really the best team in 2003 right after his team lost to USC and before the National Championship game was even played. He's not as respectable all the time like you're giving him credit for. Just ask that chick sideline reporter from a few years ago.
