Did you hear Carroll last night in the pre game? Fowler said something about the bonus that Mack Brown, or Nick Saban would get if they win that game last night, which was i think about 400k for Brown, and about 800k for Saban. Carroll said, well i was never offered that, with a little sarcastic snicker.
I agree with you. Pete's tried the NFL. At USC he has his own little dynasty. Why would one give that up. Saban learned his lesson. Too bad it was at our expense.
Even if he does leave, they won't be down long. Certain schools recruit themselves. Same if Urban Favre pulls out at UF.

Same guy tried to lure Carroll to Miami to replace Saban in early 2007, same time he interviewed Cam Cameron (who they ended up hiring). [Carroll] met with Miami Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga regarding that team's opening...Carroll said he met with Huizenga because "he's like the only guy I know who's in the NFL that actually hires guys to do everything. That's why I thought it was worthwhile talking and hearing him out."
