Caroline Kennedy wants to replace Hillary Clinton as senator for New York despite the fact that she has virtually no experience doing anything but being herself. She is a professional celebrity. She goes around the country saying "Hi there. I'm Caroline Kennedy!" That's her job. Everything she has gotten, she has gotten because of her last name, a name she refused to relinquish even when she got married. She passes herself off as a lawyer despite the fact she has never practiced law. She has written two books, both of which have risen to the heights of obscurity. She serves on some boards. Big deal. Had her name not been Kennedy what does anyone think her chances of serving on those boards would have been? When someone is asked to serve on a board it is generally because they have achieved something in some field. The only achievement she can lay claim to is being born. She apparently worked at Metropolitan Museum of Art, but for how long and doing what I don't know. She had a part time job raising funds for schools (Kennedys shine at raising funds). Other than that, she has done nothing. When asked what experience she could bring to the senate she stated she belongs to a family with extensive public service. WOW! WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT! I am sick and tired of Kennedys feeling that any political office they desire is theirs by right of entitlement. I hope the governor of New York is wise enough to appoint someone who is far more qualified that Ms. Kennedy.

Caroline Kennedy reminds me of G.W. Bush -- a guy that got where he was based on family name. If G.W. Bush had become a US Senator for Texas, and just stayed a US Senator for Texas-I think he'd have turned out to be a fine Senator for Texas. I think it would be the same for Carolina as a Senator for New York.

Caroline Kennedy cannot hold a candle to Bush. Give me a break. Before he became President, Bush began a series of small oil exploration companies, and created Bush Exploration. Bush Exloration later merged with a larger company and Bush became its chairman. For five years he was managing general partner of the Texas Rangers baseball franchise. He then served as governor of Texas for one term before being elected President. No comparison.

No matter how poorly regarded Bush may be, he was actually elected as the Governor of Texas, and the President(twice). This particular Kennedy is being appointed because of her name. Her accomplishments can be summed up by her carbon footprint.

    Maybe even less.

She is perfect for New York. One of the highest moron/capita states in the union.

I can't wait until Caroline Kennedy is interviewed by Katie Couric. I'm sure she'll ask the tough questions.

Couric: As a candidate for Senator, the people need to know more about you and how you will govern so I'll get right to the point.

Kennedy: I want to represent the people so please pick my brain.

    Couric: What's you favorite color?

    Kennedy: Blue States

    Couric: Do you like puppies?

Kennedy: Watch dogs to keep an eye on conservatives.

    Couric: What's your favorite food?

Kennedy: Pizza and Boston Cream Pie

Couric: Thank you for answering such difficult questions. I think our viewing audience now knows why you're the top candidate for the job.

The Kennedy's are such a joke. Caroline won't be subjected to the same questions as Palin.

Palin has no experience yet Kennedy is a great candidate? :dis:

I'm just happy that she apparently isn't going to be the Secretary of Education. When I heard her name being batted around, I was wondering what in the world she knows about public education in America.

I have a piece of advice for Caroline kennedy, if you are seriously trying to convince someone to pick you for that seat. Id would advise her against doing press conferences with Al Sharpton in Harlem. I have nothing against her going to Harlem, but try not to be seen with a crook.

And, I didn't think GW Bush's life before politics was that impressive, either. Yet, I gave him a chance.
