LSU's defense is dominant. There is not doubt about that. Our offense is a bit conservative. That's hard to argue as well. A great defense can always keep you in a game, but sometimes things don't go to plan. If a few mistakes in a game lead to LSU falling behind by 10+ points in the second half, can our offense win us a game? (i'm not talking about the WVU game, but any game in general)

As I recall ... happend twice or more last year ... .with the current starting QB.

If he keeps playing as he is, we can come from behind, but more likely will never be behind.

No matter how dominant a team is, somewhere during the season it has to overcome a deficit. They play in the SEC. They aren't playing the Southland conference talent.

All it takes is a couple ill timed fumbles or some fluky tipped ball or missed assignment, a slip, trip or temporary mental lapse or brakedown and we(anybody) could fall behind by 10-14 points. So it is a legitimate question. I think JL's experience could help if that situation comes to pass. He did bring us back from a 14-3 3rd quarter deficit in Auburn in 2008. I can't come up with another example off the top of my head, but I think we could do it, especially if it happens in Tiger Stadium.

I think we have to be especially careful Saturday. LSU has to weather the early emotional storm the hostile crowd is sure to provide and a couple mistakes could create this very situation. Every non-SEC team has the inferiority complex and it would make thier season to knock off an SEC heavyweight. If we don't make mistakes Saturday we win. Period.

He drove us down the field last year in fl for the win.
He matched an ou score this year using the hurry up offense right before halftime.

An qb completing 70% of his passes can bring a team back.
Joe Montana made a living picking a team apart with a short , consistant passing game. I know lee isn't Joe but if you can hit 7 yard passes over and over and over before you know it you're in the endzone.

If they let lee throw the ball around it will open up the run game. Just wait until lee starts hitting shep in stride on quick crossing routes with the box stacked for the run.
I say put shep in the backfield with receivers spread out. Get shep going out for passes from the backfield with a linebacker playing man on him and watch this kid explode.

Certainly LSU can come from behind. The offense is conservative by design, but if needed Les can let loose the hounds. We have a great recieving tight end, RR, two good young recievers, what RS might bring, and backs that can run in space when the passing game is opened up.

We haven't seen what this offense is truely capable of.

The conservative offensive approach is there by design. Time of possession wears you down and is all part of the 4 quarter approach.

It's like a trip from BR to Houston. Sure you can get in your Porsche hit I-10 and lickety-split you are there, but now what? You got three tickets for speeding, saw nothing interesting and now you have to spend even more time in Houston.

Or, you get get in your Hummer head toward Opelousas to Eunice, then it's off to Deridder and before you know it bam you're in Livingston. From there travel due south and before you know it you are coming into the greater metro Houston area. You can look back with deep satisfaction on the beautiful scenic spots you've enjoyed and new friends you have met and you did it in your shinning yellow, I mean gold, Hummer.

Les likes to take the Hummer out for a spin.

I didn't want to hijack another post I was just reading, so i'll pose this question here: Leaving all LSU fan bias aside.....If Jefferson wouldn't have gotten suspended, are you confident we would still be 3-0?

Tigers have not been behind on the scoreboard at any point this season.

I would lean upon the Florida game from last year for your answer. And it was all Lee's doing. He's been there before which will serve him well should the situation call upon him to do it again.
