You mean if Jefferson doesn't go to jail. No wonder the rest of the country doesn't trust Louisiana politics. Can you blame them? I'm not saying that other states are innocent either but Louisiana seems to set an example quite well.

The Feds have had a real hardon for Louisiana politicians sincy Huey Long. They had to use illegal searches to nail Edwards, and overstepped their boundries to go after Jefferson. I doubt that Louisiana politicians are any more corrupt than those from other states, but they are watched much closer. It is a scientific fact that politicians from Breaux Bridge and Crowley are crooked.
A "scientific" fact? What kind of science are we dealing with here? Secondly, all evidence that led to Edwards' conviction was legal. If it were not, it would have been thrown out. You seem more concerned with the legal actions of federal authorities that you do with the criminal activities of Edwards and Jefferson. What was done in regards to both of these men was entirely legal.
