Tigers screwed by the NCAA how? By nothing happening with Auburn for a long time? I guess we don't have to worry about that affecting our season now, do we? :geaux:
:geaux: What is LSU gonna get screwed by the NCAA for? The Akiem Hicks thing is not that serious, is it? :LSU231:
I was thinking that if we beat Arky and Bama beat Auburn, We probably would have been in the SEC championship game, but Auburn would have had to been declared ineligible by the NCAA. If the NCAA dilly-dallied on the decision...it would have been an injustice. But I guess it's one of those mute points now...the NCAA is no longer an escape goat.
Trust me, .... the only team that is going to "get screwed" in all this mess is Mississippi State .... and deservedly so.
Monday is more than half way over. Where is the huge announcement?? Or, did the "reputable" sources now disappear because we lost the game on Saturday??
My source did have a caveat to the if the news would be spilled, which I had stated in my posts, prior to the weekend. http://forums.tigerfan.com/tigers-den/103540-does-les-know-something-we-dont-know.html
Don't get me wrong. I believe that something will happen eventually, but the thought that it was going to happen now and that Auburn wouldn't play in the SEC title game was laughable. Even more laughable is that the SEC was sitting on the announcement and waiting to announce it after this weekend. What would anybody have to gain by that? It would just add to the embarrassment of the SEC. These things take years to investigate. Nothing is going to happen in the short term. The thought that it might was a healthy dose of wishful thinking.
