I'm just curious why some of you aren't happy when we win these type of games. I will admit, I was as frustrated as anyone watching the first half. But, the outcome of the game is all that matters, so why can't you people just enjoy the win like the majority of others? To be fair, I realize some of the threads from last night's game were started before the it ended, but it's not just this game that it's happened either. It seems like it occurs with any close game no matter who the opponent is.

Don't get me wrong, you guys are entitled to your opinion and I'm not saying you're not. But, with the parity in college football today, I just don't think HOW we win matters; especially in SEC games. And ESPECIALLY against our biggest division rival. Can ya dig it?

i really think they can't get a word in edgewise at home and that the missus wears their a$$es out so they come to the den or game chat and bitch like old women who just filled their last depends. :nope:

Only think i'm tired of hearing is how we got lucky on a few calls. For some reason the SEC loves to throw flags on us while our oppenents get away with crap. Facing that kind of scrutiny each week in the SEC these games could've had different outcomes. All I know is we're 7-1 and looking at a much needed two week break giving us a huge edge over Bama.

I think it's because seeing some of the mistakes in the game and especially the clock management at the end makes people nervous for future games. I personally will take a horribly ugly win over any kind of loss, but it makes me nervous with all the issues we have right now. Remember, it's not about winning individual games but an SEC Championship and MNC.

I totally agree with you. I have often wondered what it takes for some fans. Absolute perfection I guess, which is just not going to happen at all anytime anywhere. I am very grateful to the LSU Tigers football team, coaches and staff for playing hard and doing their jobs each and every game. We are winning and I would like to thank them for that. And yes there is room for improvement. Isn’t that the case for all of us in all of our lives?

I can remember when LSU played and they would seem to give up after the half if they were not winning. Now I know they will come out in the second half ready to give their all once again and not give up.

I feel ashamed at some of the fans because you know that the team, players, coaches and staff hear and read what the fans say. I am sure that they understand and take some of the scrutiny in stride. But I look at it like this, those players are not professional. They play with their heart and they are human like the rest of us. Words hurt, especially when they are trying their best. Yes, there is always room for improvement. They, the players and coaches, know way more about football than I do. I personally could not get out on the field and do what they do and get the same results and I am sure that most of the fan base could not do it either and win doing it.

So thank you LSU Tigers for a great season so far.

Some fans just like to complain. If we were blowing everyone out, those same fans would be complaining about CLM leaving starters in to long, or not giving some younger players more game experience. Speaking of complaining, I wonder what is being said on the Auburn boards about the Auburn kick off strategy last night –

Absolutely! Of our 7 wins, 4 have come against top 17 ranked teams: #9 VT, #12 So. Carolina, #9 Florida, #17 Auburn with our only loss being to #17 Kentucky, on the road, in 3 OT's...

That's a VERY tough 1st half schedule and I don't know of very many teams that could come out with 7 wins in that 8 week span like we just did.

Unfortunately, every team in every conference has fans like that. I myself, will take any kind of win over a loss. Anytime. Period.
