Butch Pierre leaving LSU?

Jessie Evans the Head Coach at ULaLa is on the verge of signing a new contract with the University of San Francisco and is in fact meeting with them today in San Francisco.

ULaLa has contacted Butch Pierre about the Head Coaching Position and Pierre is highly interested and is currently ULaLa's 1st choice for the job. Even if Evans doesn't take the job at San Francisco it is widely expected that if Pierre tells ULaLa yes then Evens, who is without a contract right now, will be fired to make way for Pierre.

If Butch leaves this would be the death blow to Brady's tenure at LSU IMO.

Where in that article does it say that Butch is the #1 candidate to replace Evans??????

I thought Gene Keady was leaving Purdue to go to San Franscisco. Did that fall through?

Pierre has shown nothing at LSU but that he kisses Brady's rear end. His recruiting mistakes and failures in La. are legion.

 

His recruting mistakes include this last year's stellar class and is the only reason Tasmin Mitchell is even considering LSU.

 

Pierre recruits in state only. Broussard handled out of state. Last year's class was greatly overrated, other than Bass. A point guard who plays out of control and only other offer was Cin. Mr. Ky. Basketball who was not even recruited by Ky. or Louisville and has shown very little. A 6'8" guard/small forward who could not hit a fish in a barrel, and a bench warmer from Woodlawn who had to play because of Pierre's poor La. recruiting that let starters go to Texass, etc. Other than an ineligible, so far, Big Baby, this year's class sucks even worse with a 6'8" 170 lb. forward who will get killed if he goes under the basket and CTthe 79th who had no other offers except placement in prep school. Go Butch.

 

So, I take it you're optimistic about our chances next year.

I'm surprised that you would give Brady some slack by blaming Butch for the state of LSU Basketball. It's true that Brady did well when he had Stromile, Roland, and that crew but I had always thought that Butch was a pretty good recruiter.
