Calling out the student section: What kind of bullcrap was that, booing Miles as he ran off the field at the end of the first half? Even if we were losing, you don't dress a guy down like that as he's running off the field by himself... and you especially don't do it when you're winning! This goes for some of the non students too - the guy sitting in front of me wouldn't make a peep on 3rd downs when Florida had the ball, yet he sure got vocal when he felt like booing some of Jimbo's "conservative" playcalling. Total BS. If you've got a problem with the way the team is being coached, vent to your friends about it or even call a local sports talk show. But booing does so much damage to the very program that you claim to care about so much. There's a national tv audience and a ton of recruits watching. I thought 99% of the fans were great (except for that ridiculous wave the students tried to start when we were down 17-14), but all it takes is a few idiots to make it sound like the whole stadium is booing. Hell I'm not sold on Miles yet either but I've seen some good things out there lately, and the bottom line is don't boo the Tigers!!! :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
I am a student, so prepare to be slammed: A.) it was the WHOLE crowd booing... NOT US B.) the wave= is it our fault we were losing? We were just having fun C.) We cheer WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY louder than anyone else, so screw you testing our loyalty D.) Who does the team sing the Alma Mater to? to US! They know who really makes a difference when it comes to noise level E.) Are you jealous to not be able to be smart enough to make it to the LSU student section or something that you are calling us out ?
If I'm not mistaken, the boo's were directed at the refs going into their tunnel. We boo'ed them even after the game, too. I'm just saying...maybe they were 2 seperate incidents, but the ref one definitely happened.
I booed at the end of the half, and I will be honest, I booed the zebras, but I'll also be honest and say I thought I was the only one doing that so? who knows?
Agree with Clair. While our student section has a few students that boo Miles, we also make up for a lot of other things. Our student section is one of the loudest in the country and I am proud to sit there each and every week and will boo the refs all I want, but not our coach.

Anyone that was booing Miles at half needs tp STFU. We got the ball on our own 15 with a minute left. Anyone that thinks we should have passes in that situation is not up to date with football strategery.
it was actually 2:03 left, but point taken, if the back breaks a big one then good, but we were in control of the game at that point. I actually started having some tennessee flash backs.
