The firings are starting early this year. Any thoughts as to Bo or Jimbo moving on to one of the many jobs that will come open this year? If they do move on, who would you like to see coming to LSU to replace them?

RALEIGH, N.C. - John Bunting is out as North Carolina’s football coach but will remain with the Tar Heels through the rest of this season, school officials said Sunday night.

Miles will be offered the job at Miami Canes and Bo will take over at LSU. Jimbo will stay. We'll get Muschamp back as DC.

There could be three or four ACC jobs oppen this year. Jimbo might go for a ACC head coach position.

Jimbo's offense and Pellini's defense has done very well vs Miami and other ACC type teams this year. That should be a big plus in their favor.

Bunting can thank Julius Peppers for his 2001 season, which bought him quite a few more years.

That Miami win a couple years ago helped, too. Plus, he's consistently beat NC State and Duke at the right times. He's a nice guy, but we really were supposed to win more games this year since we didn't have the toughest schedule in the nation again.

UNC should have fired Bunting 2 years ago when Spurrier was on the market. I intensely dislike Spurrier, but definitely would have liked to have seen him coach up my Tarheels.

The bad part about this is that I know the RB coach at UNC, so I guess he's gonna be without a job, too. =( When Carl Torbush was at UNC, he and his family went to the same church as me. Since his teams weren't that great, they always hated this time of year.

Oh well, maybe we can beat Miami to the punch and hire Butch Davis. =)

I agree, UNC is not going anywhere with Bunting. Whenever a coach is on the hot seat for many years and has to save himself by winning certain games like Miami, while still consistently losing games...its never good. They should have just got rid of him and started fresh. I got nothing against him, he gave Barrington Edwards a chance to play but i just dont' see UNC getting anywhere and they definately do have bowl-potential. Maybe after Mack Brown left, the fans set the bar too high there (sound familiar? jk)
You know there is talent there, If wake forest and NC state can do well. I hope they do find a good coach though, i always root for UNC in football and bball.
