You don't know how fortunate you are. The ONLY sports radio left in Shreveport is a local two hour early evening show featuring two brothers who are Notre Dame grads and hate LSU. Even Tim Brando is a step up from these morons.

OK....Holeup....Is Guzzlingil gonna try to call me out here? Seriously?

Gimme a break...This guy can't even e-mail me with ANY frequency, and I'm persona non grata around him because I refused to come to some hoity toity party he held at his house before the Auburn game?

Gimme a break, it was either Gil's playpen or New Orleans and Bourbon Street? That's a no-brainer!

But, now he can't speak to me, and comes cracking on me about my dislike for Buddy "There's no Sex in Cinnamin's Champagne Room" Songy?

    Gimme a break!

Gil, you know where I'm at...Show your face at the KOR, and wear that faded-ass, worn out, stained, faded out, been worn to one too many frat mixers, now pastel purple Ralph Lauren Polo Shirt...

I'll have you begging for Natalaie...I mean, MaMa!

    Bring it, PUNK!

This is turning into the Jimmy Ott show. Anymore friends or ex-friends of TE and Guzzling want to chime in and try to liven up the show.

so you're judging his show on the last half hour that you heard?

No, I'm judging on the one time out of the 7+ years I've listened to it...

That's the FIRST time I ever sat down and mapped out how many calls versus advertising he had per segment...

I hate to say it, but it used to not be that way. He must need more $, because there used to be much less advertising than there is now. It goes beyond the commercial breaks, and it borders on "legal tips" with Jon Fine and "The Stock Report" on the Jon Fine Sports Gumbo show...

It finally go to the point where today, I sat down and listened and mapped it out in the last half hour...

What's your point? You insinuating that it's not commercially saturated? I need a laugh...

I listen to the show everday, almost in its entirety, for no other reason than I like LSU sports, and there's not much else to listen to if you're not in the mood for music...

no, I just would have thought it completely redic if you were judging his show by the last 30 minutes. Why didn't you map out the first hour, because I think he had a lot of callers in the first hour and had to make up for a lot of missed commercials. I think he even talked about this today.

Have you also noticed that they rarely answer the question asked by the caller. They say whatever they feel like saying, even if it is totally unresponsive.

I have to drive a lot for my work, so I recently got satellite radio. Don't get me wrong, I still listen to practically all of the local sports radio, but one of the things I get with the new radio is the morning sports show from the big AM station in Atlanta (AM 750 or 790). It makes our local sports radio seem like a couple of kids selling lemonade in their front yard compared to Ruth's Chris. This town needs a good sports radio station and announcers/analysts who know LSU and the entire conference. You should have heard these Atlanta guys analyze the "Cocktail Party" before and after the game. They also have very high quality guests, like Vince Dooley, etc.

    Tomy...

There's something that's called, "The straw that broke the camel's back."

I had been thinking that there were too many commercials and not enough actual show for a while...

It finally came to a head, and I sat down with some free time and just did it...Guess I was bored...

I didn't think to do it at 12:00. I'm sorry that I'm not good enough for you, or I didn't think to get mad enough about it that early...

i'm not saying you're not good enough for me, that has nothing to do with what we are talking about. I just think it kind of skewed the facts a little when all you did was survey a quarter of his show.
