In Baton Rouge area call in history....

This guy called in probably around 12:45-1:15. I was in my car for lunch, and heard this numbskull calling in...You knew he was a pinhead redneck from the time he kept getting excited and ending his statements w/...."Yunnastand" and "Yahearme"?

He says that Russell should get 75% of the snaps because he is the future and we need to get him ready...

No mention about the "process of getting better" or the process of becoming champions...This guy is only worried about the future by starting Russell and playing him immediately...He's on the air totally showing his arse by showing he's totally ignored Saban's mantra about taking things one game at a time, and focusing on the process of getting better, instead of "future results".

Total dunce...I don't know if any of you heard this absolute TOOL (Perhaps he was ramah?), but I just had to laugh and shake my head...If this is the mentality of fans regarding Saban (he said that Saban hadn't coached the team worth a flying fertilizer-his words, not mine-this year), then I'm not surprised he tries to bolt for the NFL all the damn time...How quickly we forget...

I just had to laugh and turn off the radio...Songy was like a guy who had won a contest at a kissing booth, only to find out his sister was the girl giving the kisses...He couldn't help but have to field all these idiots calling in...

I disagree. Yes, it is the same or worse in the NFL but I think he expects more from us because of what he has done. I have not said this before, but I will say it now. I think this is Saban's last year at LSU. Put me on the record.

I get the very same gut feeling - I'm fighting it and ignoring it, but for some reason it's there in my gut...

    Hop we're wrong.

that's cuz some of you are very sensitive and hang on Saban's every word.....from every idiot fan's response to every one of saban's outbursts. Of course it would seem that way if you're borderline paranoid and if you're right, so be it. No need to worry either way. We paid him and gave him all he wanted to keep him....minus Emmert.

that could be the one variable most all of us worried about yet seemed to have forgotten. however, I think he is fine and happy. Everyone should stop worrying either way and just enjoy each day he is here.

Thanks for your concern but I am not going to lose sleep over it. While you may call it paranoid, I call it analyzing the entire situation. I am glad he is here. If he leaves, we will pay good money to get another good coach. I really do think that it could make a difference if there wasn't the booing and constant bitching about the QB's. Sure that happens everywhere but again my opinion is that Saban expected more after a National Championship. That is my opinion and we will find out soon enough. Either way, I am about to go to bed.

Yeah one thing coaches like is apathy. No one cares who quarterbacks the taem or if we win or lose. ;)
As long as the stadium is filled with bitching fans paying the salary of coaches and staff they will be here. Fans are fanatics.
Saban left Michigan State not because the fans were bitching but because the Athletic Administration agreed with the fans or showed no support for Saban.

i think its comparable to some guy who has a hottie on his side and feels he doesnt deserve her. Then he analyzes every little thing afraid he will lose her then eventually does for no other reason than simply being paranoid. Then his fear becomes his reality and she moves on.

yet he still thinks, "that cheating bit*$"!

Rightly or wrongly, Saban has very high expectations of everyone he is associated with. That includes players, fans, administration, coaches, etc. Some might even say unrealistic expectations but it is what it is. Sorry but I don't agree with the argument that if you aren't bitching you are apathetic. As for the Chicago situation, Saban stayed because his wife did not want to leave yet.

Right, so when you are proven wrong at the end of the year, your little story will fit just perfectly. I don't mind you having an opinion about it. It is just incorrect.

I also think some guilty booers are being exposed.
