Our strongest ally in this fight concedes that the collateral damage is likely far worse than is widely believed. If these numbers are accurate, no one will be left to enjoy their new democracy by the time it's all said and done.

    i care about this why?

also it should be noted that a large percentage of these people were killed by iraqis, and americans are trying to save them, not killing them.

Oh, well, if they're being killed by someone other than us, I guess they're not really dead then.

Clearly your post implied that it was the fault of the US engaging in an unnecessary war that was the cause of the Iraqi death. You also take issue with any contention that there is no civil war in Iraq. You cannot have it both ways.

Clearly, you are reading a bit much into my post. I've never offered any denial of whom is killing whom, just the plain fact that there are way more dead Iraqis (the people that we're supposed to be defending and protecting) than is widely believed. And yes, it goes towards the overall collateral damage of the war and how it applies to justification.

You support the invasion because you feel bad for the Iraqis. Now hundreds of thousands of them are dead. You cannot have it both ways.

I don't give a damn about the Iraqis. I take issue with the unwarranted criticism of the President.

i dont feel bad for iraqis. they can kill ten thousand of each other every day if they want. give them a darwin award for for outstanding performance in the field of religious sectarian violence.

You boys are so full of it that it ain't funny...and you both know it.

If you don't care about the Iraqis then you have NO leg to stand on whatsoever regarding the invasion. And, martin, spare me the 'they broke a rule' platitude. It's weak and not even worth entertaining.

If you really don't give a damn about the Iraqis, then you would have no objection to staging an immediate pullout. You cannot have it both ways.
