Right when I think there is absolutely nothing this guy could ever do to make me like him, he goes and gets arrested for drinking some booze in a car as he's leaving the Nebraska/Pitt game. I can respect that. http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/5102520
When I heard this yesterday, my first thought was, "wonder how young the cop was who handled this ?" Not that this guy's an American icon, but really, do you think this went down without the cop knowing who he was ? May have been one of those cases where the opportunity to bring the big man down was too tempting. I love the MADD mothers but this stuff's gotten out of hand, IMO. What the hell was the problem ? Did any action taken by the defendant have any impact whatsoever on public safety. I think not. Much ado about nothing. On the flip side.....if it had to happen, couldn't have happened to a more deserving sumbitch. I can't stand that wickerbill.:dis:
Maybe the ticket was actually for being dumb enough to attend THAT game. They just covered it up with the beer story.
Is it illegal because the potential exists to share with the driver? Just asking because I'm not a drinker and not overly familar with the beer laws.
It's illegal in this state to have an open container of alcohol in the passenger area of the vehicle. They do not give reasons out when making laws.
