I was back in Baton Rouge for Christmas. I was amazed that in a city as addicted to food as Baton Rouge, no one had any good recommendations for breakfast restaurants. Where should we go next time we visit the folks?

Or La Lou (formerly Another Broken Egg) if it's still open.

Louie's Cafe is still the best. Zealand Street Market also makes a fine breakfast. The Waffle House on College Drive actually cranks out a good breakfast.

And I go to Coffee Call now and then when I permit myself some fried bread for breakfast.

For fast food breakfast on the road, Jack-in-the-Box blows away McDonalds.

I honestly don't know how McDonald's even turns a profit or why anyone in Louisiana can stand to eat that ****. Nothing there is remotely appealing.

Also have Another Broken Egg and Mason's which is more of a brunch restaurant.
