I've been waiting for snorton to pause before posting a new thread, but it doesn't look like its going to happen so . . . Red's vote for best breakfast in Baton Rouge is:

    Louie's Cafe on State Street.

Mitchell omelette (crumbled sausage, hashbrowns, mushrooms & cheese)
pancakes, short stack with butter & cane syrup
    coffee
    OJ

Louie's is great, probably the best in Baton Rouge. But another great place (IMO) that can be found in most cities in the south is Waffle House. Sure it may be a little seedy but man can they make a good waffle. Waffle House may be the best place to go for drunk late night food, especially since they are open 24 hours.

A student in the office just told me that Piccadily's is now serving breakfast at some locations on Saturdays and Sundays.

May have to check that out.

South Sherwood Forest and Denham Springs locations, Red.

And I second your motion about Louie's being the best breakfast in BR.

Waffle House is alright, but if you want some good 24 hour breakfast, go to IHOP. I don't think I've had anything there that's tasted bad. That stuffed French Toast is too sweet for me, but I enjoy eating it every now and then. More then than now.

Louie's is the place to be. After a long night of drinking its good to eat some Louie's hashbrowns.
