in athens its ok. the days are local except for cowherd. the great thing is that they rarely take calls. of course it sucks that they talk uga all day, but its still sec. being able to get atlanta is nice too. they talk a lot of pro but it aint bad.
i forgot to mention. i remember it being great in memphis when i lived there from 95-01. all sec, all the time.
I like BR Radio. except for josh innes. He sucks @$$. Songy is fun and really gets me excited for upcoming games. Jimmy is knowledgable and covers a lot of stats and odds. (Roscoe is great) Condon is funny even though he doesn't stick to sports. The fastest hour would be good if josh innes would leave town.
i agree with about Josh Innes, he is a arrogant slob. he reminds me of that drunk ass coonass that everyone had in their click in high school that would get plastered and loud and embarrass themselves nightly.
also is it just me or is every caller some 70 year old swamp person with a straw hat and his feet hangin off the deck on his houseboat?
I don't think it is as bad as you all say, but maybe that is because I grew up listening to Buddy D in New Orleans - that was some down right awful journalism. That said, I will never understand why they don't cut off Mike from Plaquemine. I'd rather have my toe nails pulled out with pliers then listen to that guy stumble through questions and he calls in every time I listen in.
I don't understand how anyone can listen to Buddy. What a joke. This guy just talks about the same stuff everyday. it never changes. It's the same stuff, same callers, same skank waitresses etc. Atleast Jimmy tries to talk other stuff. Buddy pretends to have all these sources and I can't count the times he said something will happen and it doesn't. Those guys before Richard get solid guests but they are terrible interviewers.
arent you the dude who is always making local radio a personal issue? like you have an axe to grind. everyone knows what to expect from the motley crew at this point. buddys a homer and good for LSU crap he parrots as his own. big deal. oh and hes a perv. that is kinda hard to stomach but deal with it. jordie is good. ott is ok. moscona and condon are ok together, not so hot apart. its the good cop bad cop bs everyday. and of course, rarely sports with condon because condon doesnt like or even follow sports. he has to force himself to read the paper at 3am and watch sportscenter. never watches a game of any sport usually. innes is anti-Louisiana/LSU but disguises it better now in order to succeed. what a revelation being you are in baton rouge. better as a board-op i suppose. br Radio is average and something to pass the time if you need background noise at work. we definitely need an FM 24 hr sports station however. one with a strong ass signal.
I don't find anyone on that station to be anti LSU. If anything they are overtly pro LSU. That isn't a major problem with me. I want LSU homers on radio. It just seems that everyone on that station is really lazy. Who is Moscona? Is he the 3pm guy? If so, it sounds like he tries to hard to talk about race topics. He sounds like a news reporter
