CFN has our Tigers in the ROSE BOWL this week against Michigan. Other than the SUGAR this would be a interesting place to go bowling. I know these things change every week drop a loss to Tech and we are in the Indy bowl.
Actually USC is not even in first place in the Pac 10. They had that loss to Cal and are now they are in second palce behind Washington State and UCLA. What could happen is USC could make the Sugar Bowl and not be the Pac 10 champion. This would leave the Pac 10's automatic bid for conference champion to go to another team like Wazoo or UCLA. With the Pac 10 champion not in the Sugar Bowl, the Rose Bowl would take that team. I don't think LSU will go to the Rose Bowl. The Rose Bowl people were kinda pissed Oklahoma a Big 12 team played Wazoo last season in the game. They want to keep the traditional Big 10-Pac 10 showdown every year. The only time this would change is if the NC game is in the Rose Bowl that year. This being said if the Rose Bowl invited LSU to go to Pasadena, I know LSU would accept the inventation like that. I know I would be there.
if we lose to tech we still have a good shot at going to a great bowl game b/c we could still beat bamer, piss, and arkansux, thus making us SEC west champions and then defeat uf/uga/ut in the SECCG game leaving us with a final top 10 ranking and good bowl game ...i.e. citrus bowl now, with all that being said we're going to beat the leaving snot out of tech
I think Fiesta or Orange would be a better fit for LSU. We have never played in the Fiesta so that would be pretty special.
The SEC Champs get an automatic BCS Bowl. So losing to LaTech would have no impact on us winning out and going to the Rose, Fiesta or Orange Bowl. But, I'd be really, really pissed if we lose to LaTech!!
