Are any of you as disappointed as I am in the way old DBowe short-armed that pass to the endzone? Sure, it may have been just out of reach, but there was only one way to find out for sure, and he decided instead to tuck in and not take the oncoming hit from the Auburn defender. You'd figure since he'd just dropped a TD pass on the previous possession, his instinct would be to make up for his blunder and lay out for the potential score. But nope. Maybe I'm overreacting, but Bowe is our number one receiver right now, and I don't think that his play Saturday night says a whole lot about our receiver corps. :nope:
He said it wouldn't happen again, and I believe him. Let's leave it at that. Oh yeah. Welcome to TigerForums. :thumb:
yeah he dropped some but then again he caught some too! like salty said ... he said he wouldnt do that anymore.... that means his attitude/ mental game is right..... so let's give him another chance? We dont have much choice... coaches decision.
i suppose you could do a better job... doubt you even played highschool football. Save your disappointment until you wake up and realize your life is so empty that you must chastise the performance of an athlete who could do more at 13 then you can at 30.
Come on. The WORST post you've ever read? I just want our receivers to catch the ball, and to lay it on the line in crunch time, as the injured Jamarcus did all game long. I'm not a Bowe hater, I assure you. I do hope, though, that he keeps his promise not to drop or short-arm anymore balls. We won't get many chances to score against the Tide. One missed opportunity may be one too many. :yelwink2:
Bowe would've been absolutley demolished by the Aubie safety on that play. There's no way that he hangs onto the ball, and we're probably down a receiver if he takes that hit.
No kidding. He easily could have had his neck broken by laying out for it. The guy was coming in low and helmet first at full speed. And nobody mentions the circus catch he made to sustain our last drive of regulation.
You know what, you're right. Because one of the coolest things to do is call out a 20 year old kid for one bad play in an otherwise good game and great season.
