Bowers has had offers before, but he has trouble leaving because his wife is one of the biggest Mary Kay cosmetics distributors in this part of the country. She supposedly makes as much as a coordinator at an SEC school. Her base is in southern Mississippi and supposedly she does not want to leave.

Did we really want him? I had not heard alot of LSU talk related to him, despite him being highly rated. I get the impression that Ole Miss is going to put together an above-average recruiting class by their standards due to the success that Eli brought. They have Robert Lane waiting in the wings for next year to take over for Eli. Could Lane be the one who brought Bowers over? I wonder if some prospects would rather go to an SEC school where they will start early instead of competing against the talent at LSU.
