wide open touchdown 5 yards from goaline... a sure TD, in his hands, and he drops it... :::sigh::: If we could hang on to it, it would have been 6 more points! I know I know... small potatoes, and im not bitching, I just wanted LSU to hang 6 more points on Ole piss to add to the other FORTY... I know some have to share my sentiments.... lefire:
Ha, I thought the exact same thing when that happened. Didn't matter for last nights game but for SEC champ, bowl game... could make a difference. He's still the man and I wouldn't expect that to happen very much. Even the almighty Reggie Bush fumbled last night. :nope: With that said... :geauxtige
i believe Bowe pulled up on that play and "slightly" limped off the field.......I do not remember seeing him the rest of the game. could be wrong.
He was a bit gimpy, headed to the sideline. Could explain why he didn't have the burst to get the extra foot or so to catch the ball. It was a helluva throw, and one that Bowe can always go out to catch. I think he pulled something
Of ALL people Bowe does NOT need to get hurt. But what I like about this LSU team, when someone goes down... Someone ALWAYS steps up... shows a lot of character...
I pointed this out last night in the game thread but obviously it's still an issue: Technically, Bowe didn't break his promise. His promise was that he wouldn't "drop" anymore passes....While it looked like he could have layed out for it, he did NOT drop it, he just missed it.
He came off the field right in front of us. He was limping a bit. It didn't seem bad at all and I'm sure coach kept him out just as a precaution. He'll be fine.
Its very clear to me, 10 games in to the season, that LSU's WRs have impressive physical ability...but they're hardly one of the best WR corps in the nation. To call WRs who cannot catch the ball consistently "the best" is like calling an OL that cannot block people consistently "the best" because they have impressive forty times and bench press max amounts or some other intangible of that sort. It is what it is: they look great on paper and in pads, but when the game is on they're merely okay to occasionally good. Hell, JR's completion percentage would be pushing 70% if these guys hold on to the ball more frequently.
If you watch closely, the defensive back made a good play and swatted it out of his hands. After further review, it was not a drop.
