Ok, since most of you hijacked my last poll on CANNED root beer, here's one you might be able to stick to the two choices...

Barq's is good but Abita is the best tasting root beer ever made.

While Barq's is my favorite classic rootbeer, Abita is just plain awesome. And the fact it is made with Louisiana cane sugar and not high fructose corn syrup makes it taste even better.

I've been drinking Barq's my whole life. Never had abita. Can you get it outside La?

Abita gets this one for me. Taste similar to IBW.

    Love Barq's because it's local.

I shall be happy to settle the debate

Coming home from Saudi on July 4th ... will get a truckload of fresh hot boudin and cracklins from Eunice, Opelousas and Sunset.

We shall have a taste test between the orgy of boudin.

One sip of Barq's ... one sip of Abita ... I've been drinking Barq's rootbeer and red creme soda since I was a kid and really love them both ...

but a combination of LA cane sugar and fresh Abita Springs water with a sassafras extract sounds like heaven ... and a habit
